Christian Hurst DVM graduated from The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. After spending a year in Xenia, Oh working for Veterinary Associates as a mixed animal practitioner I traveled to Detroit, MI where I began working in emergency medicine. I traveled to Bergen county, NJ in 2002 and began working at Animal Emergency and Referral Associates as an emergency doctor for the next 5 years. After approximately one year at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, NJ working as an emergency doctor I began working in Hawthorne, NJ as a general practitioner. After 3 years working in Hawthorne, I started construction on a full service veterinary hospital in Oradell, NJ. Animal Care of Oradell will be a full service veterinary hospital serving the Bergen County community and will offer preventative medicine, vaccines, full service dentistry, spay/neuter and other soft tissue surgeries, heartworm tests and preventatives as well as blood screening and hospitalization of sick pets. Animal Care of Oradell has Dr.Suzanne May DVM,ACVIM on staff as a board certified small animal internal medicine specialist. She is the only boarded internist in Bergen County that works in general practice. She can help with difficult medical abnormalities in house and as a referral from your veterinarian. I can help with breed consultation, wellness care plans, health certificates for travel and as an important member of your pets healthcare team.
